High alert issued in Punjab, leave of police personnel cancelled till April 14

Chandigarh: Leave of Punjab Police personnel and officers has been cancelled. In an urgent communication sent by the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab Police to the heads of all police offices in Punjab, the leave of the employees has been cancelled till April 14.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has issued an order that all police personnel who have applied for leave or who have taken leave are cancelled. According to police sources, the police in the state will be on full alert till Baisakhi. According to media reports, this vigilance of the police is being linked to Baisakhi and Operation Amritpal in Punjab.
According to the information received, Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, has invited the sangat to reach Talwandi Sabo on the occasion of Baisakhi. Although this invitation has been given to attend the Gurmat ceremony, the security agencies fear that there may be a big announcement from here.
