High Court puts stay on look out notice issued against former CS Sarvesh Kaushal

Chandigarh: In a major relief to former Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal in an irrigation case, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has stayed the look out notice issued by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.

The high court has also restrained the Vigilance from taking coercive action against Sarvesh Kaushal.
Kaushal’s lawyer has said that Sarvesh Kaushal is already ready to join the investigation but the LoC remains a hurdle in his return from abroad. The lawyer says that Sarvesh Kaushal will return from abroad and will himself join the investigation.
On the other hand, the High Court has stayed the issuance of a look out notice against Sarvesh Kaushal and said that it is wrong to issue the notice. The high court has also reprimanded the Vigilance not to take any action against former chief secretary Sarvesh Kaushal.
The matter will be heard next on February 8, 2023.
