Horrific: 22-year-old woman raped, killed in Punjab’s Faridkot
Faridkot News: A shocking case has come to light in Faridkot district of Punjab. A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a youth here and made an objectionable video of her.
After committing the crime, accused gave poison to victim. The victim was admitted to a hospital in Faridkot, however, she died during treatment.
The Kotkapura city police have registered a case of murder after the rape.
According to the police, during treatment, the woman gave a statement that on October 12, when she went to the house of the accused living in her neighbourhood, he raped her there and made a video. The next day, when she went to his house again to delete her video, the accused poisoned her. After this, she was admitted to the hospital, police said.
A spokesperson of Punjab Police said that on the statement of the woman, the police had registered a case of rape against the accused and now the case of murder has also been added after the death of the victim. Police have arrested the accused and further action is underway, he said.
