Immigration agent denies issuing forged admission docs to Indian students in Canada
Punjab E News: An immigration agent, accused of defrauding multiple Indian students out of substantial sums of money by providing fraudulent college admission letters to secure study permits for Canada, has refuted the allegations brought against him.
Brijesh Mishra, who has been incarcerated in a British Columbia detention center since June, asserts that he has been unjustly blamed by numerous international students from India, a media report said.
“They are holding me accountable for concealing their errors,” Mishra stated during his inaugural public appearance at an immigration tribunal in Toronto via a video link on November 1.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has charged Mishra with engaging in immigration advisory activities without a valid license and with advising an individual to knowingly or unknowingly misrepresent or withhold information from authorities.
