Gurdaspur News: In a joint operation, the Punjab Police and the BSF have arrested two drug peddlers with 12 kg of heroin and Rs 19.3 in cash. Police officials said the recovered drug was brought from Pakistan through drones. “In a major setback to the network of drug smugglers from across the border, Gurdaspur police and BSF in a joint operation nabbed two smugglers with 12 kg of heroin and drug money worth Rs 19.3 lakh,” Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said in a post on X.
Yadav said the drug was brought from Pakistan through drones. A case has been registered against the smugglers under the NDPS Act.
