Indian man jailed for 5 weeks for punching police officer in Singapore

New Delhi: An Indian-origin man has been sentenced to five weeks in prison for punching a Singapore police officer after drinking alcohol nearly two years ago.

He groaned so hard that the officer remained unconscious for at least a minute and his memory was also temporarily lost. The accused, Devesh Raj Rajasegaran (24), was sentenced to five weeks in jail by a court here.
