Kota suicide number 23: Body of Class 11 student from Jharkhand found hanging in room
New Delhi: A student from Jharkhand, who was preparing for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room in Vigyan Nagar area of the city, police said.
Police have identified the deceased as Richa Sinha (16). She was preparing for NEET. The girl was found hanging in her hostel room late on Tuesday night. Richa Sinha was a resident of Ranchi in Jharkhand and was a student of Class XI.
She came to Kota earlier this year and enrolled in a coaching institute here. No suicide note has been recovered from her room. The body has been sent to MBS Hospital for postmortem.
This is the 23rd case of suicide by a student studying in a coaching institute in Kota city of Rajasthan this year. Last year, 15 students committed suicide in the city.
