KULDEEP SINGH, ACCUSED IN MALVINDER SINGH SIDHU, AIG CASE MAKES SIGNIFICANT DISCLOSURES
Chandigarh News: Accused Kuldeep Singh, arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau, has made some major disclosures during the investigation of case registered under FIR No. 28, dated 30. 10. 2023 under Prevention of Corruption Act at police station, VB Flying Squad-1, Punjab, Mohali.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the state VB said during investigation it has came to light that accused Balbir Singh and Kuldeep Singh, a driver from the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department, Punjab, in connivance with Malvinder Singh Sidhu, AIG, Human Rights Cell, Punjab Police, who used to identify himself as IG, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, were involved in committing fraud, blackmail and extortion of money from government employees after illegally obtaining their service records and subsequently initiating complaints against them to get illicit gains.
He further added that following a statement effected by above said accused Kuldeep Singh under the Evidence Act, the VB has recovered a bogus/fictitious stamp made in the name of Inspector General of Police, Vigilance Department, Punjab, which according to Kuldeep Singh, was being used by AIG Malvinder Singh for blackmail/extortion. Apart from it, two mobile phones belonging to accused Kuldeep Singh have also been recovered which have been sent for forensic examination. He further informed that data contained in the mobile phones could lead to major disclosures in the case. Further investigation into this case was under progress.
