Ludhiana RTA to be produced before court today, MVI also on vigilance radar

Chandigarh: Ludhiana RTA Narinder Dhaliwal will be produced before the court today. RTA was arrested by vigilance on charges of collecting monthly fees from transporters. He will be produced before the RTA at the end of his three-day remand today.

According to sources, it has been learned that there is now an MVI (Regional Transport Authority) on the radar of vigilance. There is also talk that agents, including some transporters, have also been named, but are yet to be officially confirmed.
PCS officers and staff continue strike
Meanwhile, Punjab PCS officers and employees working in government offices have gone on a week-long strike. Authorities have declared a holiday for a week claiming that RTA Narinder Dhaliwal is being falsely implicated in the case.
Officials have said that it is wrong to file a case against the responsible officer for giving the statement of one person.
Vigilance collecting accounts
RTA is also collecting accounts of the amount lying in the bank accounts of Narinder Dhaliwal and the property purchased by him and crores of rupees spent on the residence in Moga. Investigations have revealed two bank accounts of RTA, in which lakhs of rupees are also being deposited.
