Jalandhar’s Goraya police have arrested an NRI who exploited girls in the name of taking them to Canada. The accused has been identified as Harpal Singh, a resident of Behala village in Barnala. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 420, 380, 386, 465, 468, 471 and 376 of the IPC at Goraya police station.
SHO Sukhdev Singh said that Harpal Singh cheated and had physical relations with about 40 girls.
He described himself as a citizen of Canada. He had created a profile on him shaadi.com. He has cheated girls from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh.
