Man commits suicide after burning his wife

In a shocking incident, the accused, who killed his wife, two children and in-laws at Sidhwan Bet in Mehatpur district on Sunday, committed suicide. According to the information received, the accused Kuldeep Singh alias Kalu committed suicide by hanging himself from the tree. His body was found hanging from a tree near the Sutlej river. The police were trying to arrest him. The body has been sent to civil hospital for post-mortem.

Yesterday, he burnt alive his in-laws, wife and two children. The incident took place late on Monday night. 

The deceased were identified as Paramjit Kaur (28), son Gurmohal (5), daughter Arshdeep Kaur (7), mother-in-law Jangiro Bai (54) and Surjan Singh (58).
