Man killed in firing on Mohali’s Airport Road

Chandigarh: A man was killed when two vehicles opened fire near a mall just opposite the Mohali Municipal Corporation on the airport road here today, police said.

The firing triggered panic in the entire area with the vehicles in which the attackers were travelling. One of the cars had chandigarh number plate and the other had a number plate of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the attackers ran into the mall.

This has been confirmed by the woman security guard of the mall. As soon as the information was received, DSP Harsimran Singh Bal and other officials immediately reached the spot and took stock of the incident.

The police have cordoned off the mall and launched a search.
