Man murdered over land dispute in Jalandhar; 9 booked, 3 arrested
Jalandhar News: Three people were injured, and a man passed away due to his injuries at a hospital in Jalandhar after a clash among family members over the passage of a tractor through the fields in Miyani village of Lohian Khas.
Balwinder Kaur, the wife of Santokh Singh, a resident of Village Miyani under Police Station Lohian Khas (Jalandhar), recorded the statement that her husband Santokh Singh (who returned from Italy two months ago) had gone from home to sow mustard. Upon hearing the commotion, Santokh Singh and his son Sarabjit Singh also rushed there and were severely injured. Based on Balwinder Kaur’s statement, the Police Station Lohian registered a case against nine individuals. However, Santokh Singh (54), who sustained serious injuries during the incident, passed away from his injuries later that night, as confirmed by SHO Yadwinder Singh.
