Maoists kill BJP leader ahead of Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh

It is said that Ratan Dubey was campaigning for the Chhattisgarh elections. Meanwhile, naxals have targeted them. The deceased BJP leader is also Narayanpur district vice-president. At present, the police is investigating the case. The incident took place in Kaushalnar area of the district on Saturday. Dubey represented the area in the district panchayat, a senior police officer said, adding that a team has reached the spot to investigate the murder. Assembly elections in the state will be held in two phases on November 7 and 17.
