Members of Sikh family killed in hate crime in US honoured at Akal Takht

Amritsar: The family of Balbir Singh Sodhi, who was killed due to hate crime during the September 11 attack on the US, was jointly felicitated by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh and SGPC General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Grewal at Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat yesterday.

Talking to reporters, Grewal said members of the family died due to the hate crime. The incident happened because of the turban wearing in American after Osama bin Laden’s terrorist attack in US.
