Mother, sister-in-law and nephew murdered by drug addict in Amritsar

Chandigarh: A youth under the influence of liquor killed his mother, sister-in-law, and two-and-a-half-year-old nephew. Afterward, leaving the blood-soaked corpses in the house, he went directly to the police station and surrendered. Currently, the police have taken possession of the dead bodies and started the investigation.

The accused has been identified as Amritpal Singh, 35, a resident of Kandowalia town in Ajnala. During the night, the accused killed his mother Manbir Kaur, sister-in-law Avneet Kaur, and nephew Samarth. He cut all three of them with a dagger.

The accused is addicted to drugs, particularly heroin. His family tried to stop him from using drugs, which is believed to be the motive behind the triple murder. His brother Pritpal Singh works in Dubai, police said.
