Nepal should not allow Amritpal to flee to third country: Indian government
New Delhi: India has requested the Nepal government not to allow fugitive extremist preacher Amritpal Singh, who is hiding in Nepal, to flee to a third country.
A media report today said that if he tries to escape using an Indian passport or any other fake passport, he will be arrested.
The Kathmandu Post newspaper quoted a copy of the letter written by the Indian Embassy to the agencies and said amritpal is currently hiding in Nepal.
Citing multiple sources, the newspaper said the letter and Amritpal’s personal details have been sent to all concerned agencies, from hotels to airlines. Amritpal, who is said to have multiple passports with different identities, has been absconding since March 18.
