NIA detains gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, leaves for Delhi

Chandigarh: The Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in a fresh case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The NIA suspects that Bishnoi was involved in anti-India terror outfits.

Gangster is main accused in singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Police sources had already confirmed that Bishnoi to be taken to New Delhi for questioning on Thursday.
Bishnoi was currently lodged in Bathinda jail. He was also detained by the Punjab Police from Delhi in connection with the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, which has now been taken back to New Delhi.
A Delhi court on Thursday granted 10-day remand of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
