NIA raids in eight states, 6 gangsters of Bishnoi gang arrested
Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has busted a network of terrorist-gangster-drug smugglers and succeeded in arresting six accused. NIA has arrested six accused working for gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Goldy Brar.
The NIA is now taking further action in the matter. The accused arrested by the NIA have been identified as Lucky Khokhar, Lakhvir Singh, Harpreet, Dalip Bishnoi, Surinder and Hari Om.
It is worth mentioning that the NIA had raided 76 locations in eight states yesterday. The agency carried out searches in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
In Punjab, checking was done at Bathinda and Muktsar. This was the fifth raid by the NIA after registering three FIRs in the first week of September.
During this period, the agency had recovered a large number of digital devices, cartridges, nine pistols and rifles as well as Rs 2.3 crore. The NIA had decided to conduct the raids on the basis of interrogation of jailed gangsters and evidence found earlier.
