Protest against Amritpal’s statement by Christian community

Followers of the Christian community is holding a protest near the PAP Chowk in Jalandhar today, but will not block the highway. 

They will stage their protest towards the PAP shooting range. The decision was taken after a meeting held with police and administration officials till late night. 

Of course, the Christian brotherhood will hold their protest towards the PAP shooting range, but it will not affect the traffic on the highway, but there may be a situation of jam in the city. People of Christian brotherhood will come to PAP by vehicles, there will be some problem after the arrival of a large number of vehicles, protestors said. 

However, traffic from Pathankot bypass to Ramamandi by flyover and direct from Ludhiana side to Amritsar-Pathankot will continue to run directly. The protest of Christian brotherhood will not affect him, police said. 

Amritpal, who heads the previous Sikh organisation Waris Punjab, had made some contentious comments on Christianity. Against which people associated with Christianity are angry. They had threatened to block the highway by taking to the streets in protest in the past. The Christian community said that when they do not oppose any religion, they will not tolerate the comments against their religion.
