Punjab Police sub-inspector used to smuggle heroin, three arrested

Punjab E Newa: Acting on a tip-off, the Ludhiana STF Range Police intercepted a Punjab police sub-inspector riding a motorcycle near Basti Jodhewal and recovered 16 grams of heroin from his jacket.

The policeman is posted in the rank of Additional SHO in Police Station Division No. 5, Ludhiana and was going to deliver heroin to his clients.
Disclosing this here today, STF AID Ludhiana Range Snehdeep Sharma said that on the basis of information, a uniformed sub-inspector of Punjab Police was intercepted near Basti Jodhewal, from whose jacket 16 grams of heroin was recovered and a case was registered under this and investigation revealed that his other accomplices were in Phillaur. During the raid in the morning, 830 grams of heroin was recovered from the motorcycle.
