Punjabi gets life term for wife’s murder in Canada
Toronto: A Punjabi man has been sentenced to life in prison by the Supreme Court of Canada for killing his wife two years ago in Abbotsford, a city populated by Punjabis. The accused will not be able to get parole for 13 years.
The unfortunate incident of murder took place two years ago on July 28. When the police reached the spot, Kamaljit Kaur Sandhu (45), a mother of two, was in the house.
She had several deep axe wounds on her head and neck and was lying bleeding. Her husband Inderjit Singh Sandhu (50) was caught by the tenants. The police took him into custody and also seized the axe used in the attack.
