Raids at 96 houses of operatives belonging to gangsters Bishnoi and Goldy Brar by Punjab Police
Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav continued their zero-tolerance policy against gangsters and 200 police teams raided over 1,490 suspected hideouts across Punjab.
As part of this episode, Moga Police formed 20 teams and raided 96 suspicious places of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar’s operatives sitting in Canada and conducted search operations.
During this time, suspicious material was also seized. Police said that the operation was carried out by 2000 police personnel throughout the day.
Police said that 20 teams of police conducted a search operation at the house of Parminder in Kusa village of notorious gangster Sukhpreet Budha, Jagseer Singh Jaga of village Sukhanand and Pawan Kumar vasi Jhandewala on suspicion of contact with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar.
Apart from these, the police had conducted a search operation in a total of 96 houses.
Officials said action was also being taken on the orders to confiscate the properties of gangsters and drug peddlers after the approval of the government and notices were also being pasted outside the houses of many operatives.
