Sikh man jailed for 15 years for killing wife in UK
Punjab E News: A 79-year-old Sikh man was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for killing his wife in east London in May this year.
Tarsem Singh was sentenced by Snesbrook Crown Court after finding him guilty of the murder of his 77-year-old wife Maya Devi. The accused went to the police station and informed the police about the murder of his wife.
The officials immediately rushed to her house and found Maya lying on the floor. Maya was declared dead on the spot and the post-mortem examination stated head injuries as the cause of death. The accused did not disclose why he committed the murder. Parents of a son and two daughters, Tarsem Singh and Maya are both of Indian origin and had been living in the UK for 50 years.
