Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri shot dead in Amritsar

Punjab Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri shot dead in Punjab’s Amritsar. The incident took place outside Gopal Mandir on Majitha Road in Amritsar, in which Suri was hit by two bullets. After the accident, the Shiv Sena leader was admitted to the hospital, where his condition was said to be critical but he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Shiv Sena leader Gopal was staging a sit-in outside the temple over garbage.

Sudhir Suri was attacked by two assailants, one of whom was arrested by the police. He has been identified as Sandeep Singh. Another attacker escaped.
