Suspended AIG Ashish Kapoor not get relief from the court, video of slapping a woman goes viral

Chandigarh: A video of suspended AIG Ashish Kapoor is going viral, in which he is seen slapping a woman. This video was presented in the High Court as evidence. However, the video is said to be from the year 2018.

The woman was slapped by Ashish Kapoor at Zirakpur police station. The high court has sought a response from the Punjab government on the video. In fact, Ashish Kapoor had applied for bail in the High Court, but the court did not give him relief. Kapoor was accused of taking a bribe of Rs 1 crore from the woman. Ashish Kapoor was posted as AIG Vigilance in 2018.
