Chandigarh: A woman and young son, including a retired police ASI, were murdered at village Noorpur Bet in the district. The bodies of the three were recovered from their residence late on Sunday night. Police officials involved in the investigation said that the dead were attacked with heavy iron weapons.
Police officials rushed to the spot and found the bodies of former policeman Kuldeep Singh (65), his wife and their young son Pali Grewal (22) lying in a pool of blood.
Prima facie it appears that he was killed with head injuries. The investigation is underway, said Ladowal SHO Jagdev Singh Dhaliwal.
