Weapons missing from police station, constable arrested for selling them
Bathinda News: District police have arrested Munshi Sandeep Singh, the alleged prime accused in the case of disappearance of arms and currency at Dayalpura police station.
According to sources, the police have arrested Sandeep Singh from village Bhokhra in Bathinda district.
According to the information received, on Monday, the police had produced Sandeep Singh in the court after his arrest, but the court sent Sandeep Singh to jail on judicial remand instead of sending him to police remand.
It may be recalled that a year ago, Constable Sandeep Singh, during his posting as munshi in police station Dyalpura, had pulled out around 12 weapons from the police station’s store room and sold them to different people. After which a case was registered against the accused Munshi Sandeep Singh in police station Dayalpura and efforts were being made to arrest him.
