Allegations of irregularities in NEET-UG exam: IMA seeks CBI probe
Mumbai: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Junior Doctors Network has demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility–Entrance Test (NEET) 2024. In a letter to National Testing Agency Chairman Pradeep Kumar Joshi, the doctors’ body also requested for re-examination to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process for all students.
The Maharashtra government has demanded immediate cancellation of the NEET exam held last month, alleging that its results have caused injustice to the students of the state. The demand for the re-conduct of NEET-UG, which was conducted on May 5 at 4,750 centres in 571 cities, is gaining momentum. The National Testing Agency (NTA), however, denied any irregularity.
