DC calls students to dream high and work hard to achieve success
Jalandhar: Deputy commissioner Vishesh sarangal has called the students to dream high and work hard to achieve success in their lives.
Today during an interaction with 175 students from Schools of eminences at DAC , Deputy commissioner said that youths had a huge responsibility on their shoulders to make India a superpower in the world for which they should remain focused on their goals.
Sarangal while urging the young minds to not waste their productive time on unproductive social media activities as they get sucked into scrolling through videos and spend long hours. He said that these reels were hampering their concentration, reducing their attention, and impacting their overall well-being subsequently compromising their academic performances. He said that students need to come out of the cycle of reels and call them to dream high or work hard to achieve success in their lives.
Sarangal said that the students must not get disheartened if they face any kind of failure as setbacks are pillars of success. He also asked the teachers to encourage curiosity among students by which they will be learning new things daily. The Deputy Commissioner also detailed to them the functioning of the administration in daily routine and crisis. He also shared how the officials of government departments worked round the clock during COVID-19, floods, etc and served the people. He also asked them for fruitful use of social media platforms as better use of technology brings new opportunities of employment in various fields .
Talking about the initiatives taken by the Punjab Government to facilitate the youth for setting up enterprises besides availing maximum job opportunities, the Deputy commissioner calls the students to strengthen their skills in the desired fields. He also asked the students to reach out to DBEE for shaping their careers with proper guidance by subject experts.
Answering the questions raised by students about the path to achieve the excel in life , the Deputy commissioner said that “ hard work is the only way to achieve the positive goals in life in any field like politics , sports , administration, education etc. He also asked them to become ambassadors of change in the society and work shoulder to shoulder with administration in eliminating social maladies including drug abuse and others.
Similarly, the ADCs Jasbir Singh and Major Dr Amit Mahajan also motivated the students to dream big. They said that the students must make sports an integral part of their lives as sports make them strong enough to deal with failure which was also the best lesson of life.
The students of Schools of Eminence in Bhargo Camp, Adampur, Phillaur, Bajwa Kalan, Model Town, Maqsudan, Kartarpur, Nakodar, and Ladowali road also posed several questions and got vital information from the Deputy Commissioner and ADCs.
