Fire breaks out in Jalandhar travel agent Vinay Hari’s office, Passports and documents of people burnt
Chandigarh: A fire broke out in office of Punjab’s most popular travel agent, Vinay Hari, in Jalandhar late on Sunday night.
Due to the fire, other documents, including people’s passports, were burnt to ashes. Vinay Hari himself arrived at the spot as soon as he became aware of the incident. Upon seeing the fire in the office, he was deeply distressed.
More than 30 fire brigade vehicles arrived to extinguish the fire, using foam in addition to water. After 3 hours and 45 minutes of hard work, the fire was brought under control at 4:45 am on Monday morning. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Vinay Hari’s office in Jalandhar was as luxurious as a hotel. The fire was so severe that all the floors were engulfed one by one, leading to chaos in the entire area.
Hari said that he was informed about the developments at 11:30 pm on Sunday. He has suffered a loss of crores of rupees in the incident. At the time of the fire, only one person was present in the office.
