Hoshiarpur youth dies while bathing in swimming pool in US

Washington: A young man from Hoshiarpur’s city Garhdiwala died in the US. The deceased was the only son of his parents and had gone abroad five years ago.

Amandeep Singh’s uncle Jaswinder Kumar and his sister Akanksha said that last night they received a call from the US that Amandeep Singh had drowned in a swimming pool.

He said the US police were investigating to gather information. Amandeep Singh was the only son of his parents, and had moved to Florida (US) about five years ago.

The family demanded from the government and administration that the body of Amandeep Singh should be brought to Punjab so that his last rites could be performed.
