“How it affects visa applications in Jalandhar amid the India-Canada dispute,” Know here
Jalandhar News: After the return of 41 Canadian diplomats from India, the Visa Facilitation Center (VFS) Global, responsible for biometrics and collection of documents related to visa files, has experienced a surge in the number of individuals applying for biometric and passport submissions.
This has had no impact on the submission of visa applications to Canada. The center is conveniently located at Nakodar Chowk in Jalandhar, and appointments can be scheduled at the global office, officials said.
VFS Global has said that the ongoing tension between the two countries has not affected its operations. Over 1,000 individuals are now booking appointments every day for biometric and passport submissions. A senior official from VFS Global confirmed that the visa application process is proceeding as usual, and applicants from other states are also visiting the center.
Pertinently, Canada’s Immigration Minister, Marc Miller, recently mentioned that the ongoing dispute with India might influence the visa process. This statement raised concerns among individuals aspiring to travel to Canada.
