JEE Main 2025: 14 students score 100 percentile in first edition
New Delhi: In the first edition of the JEE Main 2025 engineering entrance exam, 14 students secured a perfect 100 percentile. Most of them are from Rajasthan.
According to results announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, 12 of the top 14 candidates belong to the general category, while one each is from the OBC and SC categories. More than 12.58 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
The test was conducted in 13 languages, including Punjabi, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi.
It was also held in 15 cities outside India, including Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, West Java, Washington, Lagos, and Munich.
The first phase of the exam took place in January-February, while the second edition is scheduled for April.
Candidates will be shortlisted for JEE Advanced based on their performance in JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2. Successful candidates will secure admission to 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
