Protests erupt at Panjab University following student’s murder, Gate closed

Chandigarh: Tensions have escalated at Panjab University as students gathered in large numbers outside the Student Center in protest over the death of a fellow student.

The protest is being held at gate number 2 of the university. The atmosphere remains tense, with a significant police presence on campus.

The incident that triggered the unrest occurred on March 28, during a show by singer Masoom Sharma, when a dispute between two groups led to violence. One individual was fatally stabbed, and four others were injured in the attack.

Authorities have arrested four suspects in connection with the incident as the situation continues to unfold.
