Punjab woman dies in Canada under mysterious circumstances
Toronto: A 24-year-old woman from Sangrur in Punjab died under suspicious circumstances in Canada. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Anu Malra, a resident of village Manki in Sangrur. Anu was on a work permit in Canada.
Anu’s father Gurpreet Singh said his daughter Anu Malra had gone to Canada for studies around four years ago and was now working on a work permit. In the afternoon of the previous day, she called someone and told him that he was not well. After some time, it was found that Anu had died. According to the family, Anu was ill for a long time.
The victim’s family has sought help from the central and state government. So that Anu’s body can be brought India.
The family said their daughter had been living in the Canada’s Nova Scotia province. Some Indian students from Nova Scotia are helping bring the body to Punjab. But with the help of the government, we can bring the body of our child India.
