School bus overturns in Punjab’s Moga, seven children injured

Chandigarh: A school bus overturned on Rama Road in Nihal Singh Wala, Moga district, Punjab, injuring seven children. The police said the driver was drunk at the time of the accident and have launched an investigation.

The bus, belonging to the School of Eminence, was carrying 25-30 children when it lost balance and overturned on the roadside. The injured students were taken to a private hospital in Nihal Singh Wala.

Local MLA Manjit Singh visited the accident site, while the school’s principal also went to the hospital to check on the injured children. Family members of the victims have gathered at the hospital.

Children complained earlier

According to reports, students had previously informed the school management about the driver’s alcohol consumption, but no action was taken. The police are probing the matter.
