Supreme Court directs NEET PG 2025 to be held in a single shift

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has directed that the NEET PG 2025 examination should not be conducted in two shifts. The court said holding the exam in multiple shifts could lead to varying levels of arbitrariness and difficulty, and instructed the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to make arrangements to conduct the exam in a single session.

The order came while the court was hearing a petition filed by the United Doctors Front, which challenged the NBE’s decision to conduct the exam in two shifts.

The petition argued that the examination should be held in a single session nationwide to ensure uniformity and fairness.

In the previous hearing, the Supreme Court had issued a notice and sought a response from the NBE. The NEET PG 2025 examination is scheduled to take place on June 15.
