Rs 1.92 crore funds allocated to schools in Punjab for exam preparation
Chandigarh: The Punjab government has taken a significant initiative to support students in class 9th and 11th across schools in the region.
Schools have been allocated Rs 50 per student for the preparation of revision sheets, question papers, and answer sheets to aid student revision.
An amount of Rs 1.92 crore has been disbursed for 23 districts in Punjab. However, schools are required to furnish a certificate detailing the utilization of this fund, and the certificates must be submitted to the education department by March 10.
In justifying this funding release, the Education Department contends that it enhances students’ ability to review their syllabus effectively, leading to improved examination performance.
Given that government schools in the state primarily serve economically disadvantaged families, this decision aims to support those facing challenges in their studies.
