21 killed, 46 injured in blast at railway stationin Pakistan

Quetta: At least 20 people were killed and 30 others injured in a bomb blast at a railway station in Quetta in Pakistan, officials said on Sunday. Local media reported that initial reports suggest that the blast took place just before the train reached the platform at the booking office of the railway station.

Quoting railway officials, the report said the Jafar Express was scheduled to leave for Peshawar at 9 am. Officials said the train was yet to reach the platform when the blast took place. The report said that given the general congestion of the station, there is a risk of significant loss of life.
