8 Syrian refugee children of a family killed in house fire
A woman and six Syrian refugee children were charred to death when a heater caught fire at a house in northwestern Turkiye, police said.
Governor Yakup Canbolat said the fire broke out late Tuesday on the first floor of a four-storey building in Yildirim district of Bursa province. The victims were six siblings aged between one year and 10 years, his 31-year-old mother and two cousins aged 10 and 11.
Canbolat said the fire brigade team immediately rushed to the area and made efforts to douse the fire, but after the fire was extinguished, the picture inside was sad. We were deeply saddened.
