Bangladesh violence: PM Sheikh Hasina resigns, leaves official residence for ‘safe haven’
Dhaka: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister have been shifted to a safe place away from their official residence, according to sources.
Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post, a news agency quoted a senior aide reported. At least six people were killed in Bangladesh on Monday in the latest incident of violence as they gathered for a long march to Dhaka, police said.
