Canada to deport 700 Indian students as visa documents found to be fake
Punjab E News: A big news has come out from Canada. The Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) has issued deportation notices to over 700 Indian students whose offer letters for admission to educational institutions were found to be fake.
According to the media reports, an official said that after passing +2, about 700 students applied for study visas through Education Migration Services led by a travel agent from Jalandhar.
These visa applications were filed from 2018 to 2022. The travel agent charged Rs 16 to 20 lakh from each student for all expenses, including admission fee in a premier college. Air tickets and security deposits were not included in the payment to the agent.
