Eight killed after human smuggler crashes head-on into a car during police chase in US
Punjab E News: At least eight people have been killed in a horrific collision between two cars in Zavala County, Texas. The collision was so severe that the wheels of the cars were blown away and one car caught fire.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a statement that the accident likely occurred when the driver of a car involved in human trafficking tried to escape police officers and speed away.
The accident took place about 60 miles from the Mexican border near the town of Batesville in southwest Texas. According to Public Safety Department spokesman Chris Oliverez, the driver of the Honda car was involved in human trafficking and was trying to evade Jawala county police officers.
