European Commission didn’t provide enough information about Covid vaccines deals: Court

Brussels: The European Commission has not fully informed the public about the agreements reached with pharmaceutical companies regarding the purchase of anti-COVID-19 vaccines, the European Union’s General Court said today.

The decision comes a day ahead of a crucial vote in the European Parliament, in which European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is expected to be re-elected to the post.

A group of EU MPs had moved the court against the commission after it refused to provide full details of the agreements between pharmaceutical companies and the European Commission on the purchase of anti-COVID-19 vaccines.
