Global Hunger Index 2024 report: India ranks 105th out of 127 countries

New Delhi: According to the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2024 report, India has been ranked 105th out of 127 countries. According to this report, India is among the countries where hunger is a serious problem. India has been placed in the severe category of hunger.

Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh have also overtaken India in this ranking. India’s ranking is better than Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The report, published by Concern Worldwide and Welthungerhilf, said that hunger levels in most of the world’s poorest countries will remain high for decades.

In this report, India is among the 42 countries that fall in the ‘severe’ category of hunger.
