Good news for Punjabis: UK government planning to increase working hours for foreign students
London: International students, including Indians, in the UK are likely to be allowed to work longer hours and take up part-time jobs to meet the shortage of workers in various sectors across the country.
Currently, foreign students in the UK, numbering 680,000, are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours a week. However, the government is in talks to extend this time to 30 hours so that the shortage of workers in the country can be met.
