Hindu temple violence: Brampton police arrest Sikhs for Justice coordinator
Toronto: Canadian police have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the violence that broke out during a consular camp at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton last week.
Peel police in a statement identified the arrested person as Inderjit Gosal. Gosal is the coordinator of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) in Canada, the Toronto Star reported. The US-based SFJ is banned in India.
Gosal was arrested on November 8 and charged with assault with a weapon. However, he was later released under conditions and asked to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
