Hockey: India beat Australia 3-2, scripts history

Paris: India defeated Australia 3-2 in the men’s Pool B hockey match at the Paris Olympics. Abhishek (12th) and skipper Harmanpreet Singh (13th, 32nd) scored two goals for India. Craig (25th) and Govers (55th) scored for Australia.

With today’s win, India has 10 points from five matches with three wins, one draw and one loss.

India’s position in the points table will be decided with the Belgium vs Argentina match. However, the Indian hockey team has already qualified for the quarterfinals.
