Indian-American Congressman condemns racist remarks on Harmeet Dhillon over ‘ardas’

Washington: Indian-American Congressman Raj Krishnamoorthi has condemned the racist remarks being made against party member Harmeet Dhillon over prayers at the Republican National Convention.

He said such comments can never be accepted. Dhillon, a member of the Republican National Committee and an attorney for civil rights matters, prayed at the convention.

The party’s presidential candidate Donald Trump was also present on the occasion. Dhillon was being criticised on social media after the prayer.
